Having spent 10 years in women's lifestyle media and events as former president of Shecky's, I noticed the dire lack of mainstream TV programs, publications and events celebrating women leaders, visionaries and change makers, and felt this directly affected how women and girls recognize and pursue their own potential. In March 2012, I leveraged my rolodex of inspirational women and launched ClaudiaChan.com as a for-purpose media brand and voice that interviews and shares the stories and lessons of almost 200 female role models who range from model activist Christy Turlington Burns, philanthropist Jennifer Buffett, fashion designer Tory Burch, humanitarian Zainab Salbi to corporate leaders like Susan Sobbott. By providing coverage of not only remarkable women but also women-led causes, companies, events--my mission is to ignite our larger generation of women to dream and do big with passion and purpose.
Passionate about connecting women with live experiences throughout my career, I also founded S.H.E. Summit Week, a "women's week" of events organized by female-led brands and designed to inspire women both personally and professionally. The 2nd annual event will feature over 100 events during June 10-16 week and culminate in a 2-day conference SHE SUMMIT CONFERENCE on June 14-15 in New York City. Tickets available www.shesummit.com.
